Are there any other reasons for having a gun, other than killing helpless animals which makes some cowards fell powerful?Reasons for having a Gun: Make a profit for the seller - false courage for the coward - kill people you hate.?
The USA is unique in the western world for its love of gun ownership.
The rest of the world just can't understand it.Reasons for having a Gun: Make a profit for the seller - false courage for the coward - kill people you hate.?
I tend to agree with you. I am a person who does not like guns either but our constitution does give the amercan people the ';right to bear arms'; and that is not likely to change regardless of the various tragedies that have occurred.
The one thing I would like to mention is that it would be impossible for the u.s. to totally rid itself of gun carrying individuals. The honest person would probably turn them in as requested if the government ordered it, but the criminals would not and as we have learned from experience, criminals will find a way to get weapons if they want one regardless of our laws against felons being allowed to purchase etc.
In otherwords, I do not think that gun control laws would be an effective deterent for crimes committed with weapons. Only a change in the mind set of individuals could really make a difference and we both know that is not likely to happen either.
the gun was put in his hand by the world we have created on this earth....... we sell guns and then condemn if a person uses it...... he is the weapon created by us...... either no one is responsible or everyone is responsible....for what happens......
Have you noticed that most of these mass murders happen in places where guns are forbidden? If someone is planning to kill, he's not going to be worried about whether he gets that gun legally.
Actually there are several good reasons to own a gun. First it is an Americans right to own one (provided they haven't committed any felonies) to defend their home and family. Secondly, farmers and herders usually have guns to protect their livestock from predators. And thirdly, with regards to killing helpless animals, you have to remember that us humans have driven off most of the natural predators causing an imbalance in the predator-prey relationship. If an animal is hunted for food, and it is killed in a way to minimize the suffering, and it is not wasted, then I don't have a problem over this as opposed to animals that spend their entire lives cooped up in small boxes with no quality of life. If you want to defend helpless animals, I suggest you take a look at the food industry and their treatment of animals, at least the deer that is hunted in the woods has had a life.
