Why would one choose to be a false profit?

I just don't get it.Why would one choose to be a false profit?
I believe people do this for power and pride.Why would one choose to be a false profit?
Because they are not working for Christ. They are pretending to, but they are actually working for the adversary...Satan who want to lead you to Hell. They are trying to ';trick'; you into thinking they are the real thing, by disguising themselves as Christians.
Money, Chicks, power, fame...I could go on
I assume for tax reasons? or maybe to cook the books in some other way for personal gain.
